It's kinda cool to see my favorite sci-fi movies make the list. Guess I unconsciously crave good science!

I haven't seen the original Solaris movie, but the new one isn't much good in science. And Alien movie was mostly a very good popcorn movie, little science there too.

Beside 2001 one the movies with best science was "Brainstorm":

Gattaca is a nice movie, but some things aren't much probable, they look fake for such future and society, many details are anachronistic.

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is a very good movie, but there's little science in the many of the things seen in the movie.
