Blame your allergies on your mom's diet:
A pregnant mouse's diet can induce epigenetic changes that increase the risk her offspring will develop allergic asthma, according to researchers at National Jewish Health and Duke University Medical Center. Pregnant mice that consumed diets high in supplements containing methyl-donors, such as folic acid, had offspring with more severe allergic airway disease than offspring from mice that consumed diets low in methyl-containing foods. Not that I would suggest avoiding folic acid, however, considering the increased risk of spina bifida. |

I admit my secret of being half assed with taking my prenatal pills. As in some months good. Other months nada.
My children don't have any allergies.
i don't let Science tell me what to eat anymore. it's too confusing. one minute it's great for you and the next minute it causes cancer or something. i let Tummy decide what is best. and if Tummy wants chocolate-covered graham crackers right now, then BY GOLLY, she gets some.
I clicked on the spina bifida link and I'm pretty sure I made an exact replica of the D: face at the screen. | |
