You know, you have to start looking at the positive side of things more often. I myself have always maintained that plants have dignity and taste. Particularly with salad dressing.
Second, at last the vegetarian community will understand the horrors they have inflicted on plantkind! Hippies will get sap thrown in their faces, staining their nice hemp-fiber hoodies! Vegans will switch to diets of ice water and gravel, at least until the pro-bacteria lobby gets up and running! Styrofoam will come back in style once people realize the terrible cost in plant lives from the use of paper products! A new age dawns!!
Poison Ivy from Batman was showing us the way... all along.
A Vegan once asked me if I was aware of the number of various abuses inflicted on the animals used to make my dinner. I asked her if she knew how many plants had to die to make her salad. She walked away.

Vegemite will be the last to be dignified.
Big fan of the Ig Nobel Prizes and I have the book to prove it. Some truly awesome work there.
Close to me there are some very old trees (ash trees and various other things), they are huge and they give lot of shade, and home to lot of birds and insects. They are several centuries old. Some people sometimes spray colored paint on their trunks or damage them in other ways. I think that in such situations such plants deserve respect and to not be damaged. They are like old friends for me, and I think they have the rights to not be damaged.
The nutrition ig nobel came from my lab! I am so proud :)
